Good Morning
Can children in Miss Ketteringham’s class 1/2K wear waterproofs for today’s PE please as the weather’s looking rainy and PE will be outside!
Thanks
In our first English lesson we… completed a jigsaw of the front cover, made predictions about what the story might be about, read the whole book, made a story map and then acted out the beginning to Vlad and The Great Fire of London! #LovePlover
Children continued to work hard on learning their understanding of place value within 10. They counted pictorials, made with manipulatives, drew the counters, wrote the number!
We also did our expedition entry ticket too.

All crew members accomplished the challenge to build a free standing tower as a mini crew! Congratulations to Mateo, Lacey-Mae, Tommy and Alex who built the tallest tower – 10 crew coins! #LovePlover
Superheroes unite – we had a wonderful superhero day where we learnt a superhero dance, read a superhero poem, made a peg superhero, completed a superhero obstacle course and finished with a superhero disco! #LovePlover
WOW! Just WOW… we were blown away by these two creative Great Fire of London masterpieces from Maria.
Well done to Peyton for all your kindness and hard work this week too!

Our Year 1 children have had a super day! We have made small superheroes using pegs and watched our houses burn in the fire of London re-enactment!

To help bring our hook week to a close, we have set fire to our model of Pudding Lane. We had to try and put out the fire and dig in a fire break before the fire reached the King’s house. We had great fun watching it burn, whilst singing ‘London’s Burning’. Thank you to Mr Meade for being Fire Fighter in Chief!

We had a real life hero join KS1 today and he shared some really important information and brilliant stories of what skills fire fighters need to help our communities! The children sat wonderfully and asked so fantastic questions to help with our expedition starting next week. #LovePlover
