Thank you to Dennis, who is an expert in engineering and helped some of our KS1 children build six bird boxes for our final product! Riley and Kayson also added some pretty hanging baskets and signage for our Eco-Garden. #LovePlover

Measuring Mass

Today 1/2K started our new Maths unit. We began by introducing the vocabulary ā€œheavierā€ and ā€œlighterā€. We then looked at different objects around the room to find out which objects were heavier/lighter than others.
After that we started an investigation. We wanted to measure the mass of three items in our classroom. The children did this using a scale and cubes. We discussed around the importance of accuracy when we were conducting our experiment.
