We explored the garden this morning. We looked at the leaves and chose the ones we liked the best. We talked about colours and patterns. We created our own leaves to make a tree by doing leaf rubbing and cutting. We practiced using our fine motor skills.
We are looking forward to seeing them on Mrs Bubb’s tree.

In crew today we were thinking about what makes us super duper and if we are all the same different. We then linked it to what we might need to get better at and what other people might be good at.
This is what we thought.

Yuvaan was really helpful to the other children outside today. He noticed that the sand was around the edge of the sandpit and the children wanted to sit on it. He scooped the sand back into the sandpit.
Thank you for being helpful Yuvaan.

As part of our expedition work next week the children will be talking about themselves and their families. We will be talking about our homes and what we do.
If you haven’t done so already, please can you send a photo of your child. If you have family photos that would be great. You can either send them via Evidence Me or your child can bring a photo into school.
Thank you for your support

Today we painted portraits of ourselves for our crew display. We are focusing on “Getting to know you” whereby the children are getting to know each other and we are getting to know the children more during our settling in week.
Here are some of our paintings. We will add more tomorrow.

Well done to Georgie and Georgia who following a maths lesson on subitising challenged each other to say what they could see.

Patsy-Ann noticed that some areas of learning hadn’t been tidied up properly today. Without being asked she tidied it up. Well done Patsy-Ann as this was a good example to all your crew.
