Wow! What an amazing experience we had today. The children had so much to say when they had their turn exploring the creatures. They listened beautifully and loved having hands-on experience! Thank you to our parents for supporting your children and enabling them to have this amazing opportunity in school. They have loved it! I cannot wait to see their beautiful work throughout the week. Watch this space!

Rekenreks
Today, we learned how to use rekenreks, in maths. We use one finger for one push! We are going to use these in the coming weeks to help us solve problems in our number work! #loveplover
We are scientists.
Our learning this week has been based around exploring materials. Today we were scientists exploring how things melt. Did you know that ice-cream melts quicker than ice? We found this out today. Also we had to put the chocolate in our hands to melt it. It was very sticky!

F2 Pride of Plover
Well done to our fantastic Pride of Plover winners this week.
Oliwia has been working hard especially in her reading and writing. Noah has been coming into school and following his morning routine really well. You are both superstars.

How do you make ice-cream?
Today we investigated how to make things change. We looked at ice and how rock salt makes it colder. We learnt about how shaking cream makes it go harder. We also noticed that the ice melts in fingers.
All this happened whilst we made and tasted ice-cream!

changing state
Today, we made ice cream and looked at how we could change liquid (cream) to solid ice cream by making it really cold. A double bonus was that it tasted delicious too!
Enjoying ice-cream
F2P enjoyed the ice-cream and lollies from the ice-cream van. There were lots of happy faces today!

The day FS pretended to be at the beach and have an ice cream.
We really do go to the best school! What a lovely way to explore what happens where the sea meets the shore!
