Recognising Half in Maths

In maths the children were awesome at recognising and making half with shapes, objects and fruit! They realised you have to shared into two equal parts for it to be half! #LovePlover

phonics club!

Today, we went on the ipads to play Buried Treasure. We had to read the coins and decide if they were fake or real words. We loved it when the pirate danced! ☠️

Some of us played hungry Hippos and the hippos were eating digraphs!

Finally we learned the split digraph i-e and played a board game using chalk to write the i-e words.

1M re-enact the King’s Coronation

1M loved role playing and re-enacting the King Coronation and what they had seen of it. Then they did some beautiful writing to invite people to the ‘actual’ Coronation ceremony held at Westminster Abbey! #LovePlover

1M Weather Reports

Children enjoyed learning about the different types of weather we experience in and around the UK. They then created their own weather maps collaboratively and presented the forecast! (purposely using different names šŸ™‚

Fingers crossed we have a sunny weekend here in Doncaster! #LovePlover
