Thank you to stronger communities 💙

Thank you to stronger communities for coming into school to talk to our year 5/6’s about anti social behaviour and what they need to do if they see it in the streets. It is really important to stay safe at all times but especially with the school holidays soon approaching.

Life saving skills in swimming

This week 5K and 5T will need to bring a set of light clothes to wear over their swimming costume or trunks. This is to experience what it would be like to fall into water with clothing on.

These clothes could be a set of light pajamas or t-shirt and shorts as well as a towel and plastic bag to put their wet clothes into.

Important reminder – Year 5 swimming

On Thursday 30th June, the children will practice life saving skills at swimming. Therefore, they will need a t-shirt, light leggings or light pyjamas to wear in addition to their normal swimming kit.

Thank you for your support.

Experimenting in Year 5

This week, we had such a fun time learning about germs! We used bread to capture the bacteria growing around school. Everyone wanted to choose the place they thought the highest amount of bacteria would be living. We tested; the photocopier, a reading book, down the back of the radiator, the windows, a child’s hand, the floor and underneath the tables. We put the bread into bags and sealed them. Over the coming fortnight, we will watch how the bacteria multiplies on the bread. Watch this space! #LovePlover
